The Rocker Arms in the Honda GX160 and GX200 engine were designed to operate at low RPM, with the GX160/GX200 Valve Spring and with a wider valve clearance gap.  For racing purposes however we de-govern the engines to enable them to rev out to 6000 RPM and we also fit the stiffer GX140 Valve Springs and set tighter valve clearances.  This puts increased pressure on the rocker arm and can lead to failures. 

As a result we recommend changing the rocker arms on engines twice a season and every race for endurance racing.  Again this is cheap insurance to ensure your engine remains in top condition.
